It will be a challenge to better the 220 plus riders that
showed up a month ago in Wanganui but the Manawatu-Orion
club are doing everything they can to make it happen.
The track out at Taikorea has been especially groomed for this prestigious series and, thanks to the dry winter, is the best condition it has been in for a number of years.
The Spectro Oil series is New Zealand\'s biggest motocross series partly because of the huge committment that each club makes when hosting their round. It is one of the major meetings of the year with the countries top riders, including last years series winner Darrin Capill, on display. As with all Spectro Oil rounds it also boasts a full Junior and Mini-MX program.
Spectator admission is an incredibly cheap $2 an adult up to a maximun of $5 a carload with children free. This is a very scenic track with great vantage points so it\'s well worth coming for a look at the top riders from the lower North Island as they battle for valuable series points.
