Went out with a bang!!
Wow what a race! Today\'s atmosphere was unbelievable. Again, there were so many people out and running around. The weather was so nice that I even got to wear a skirt!! :)
The stands were absolutely packed with spectators and they did the \"wave\". They also did the Spanish flag with the colored sheets, I\'m sure you know what I\'m talking about, I can\'t describe it word for word but it was cool. After each race, there were fire works going off, airhorns screamin\'-Good Ol\' Valencia.
For the Moto GP race, let\'s just say another successful procedure in the operating room for \"The Doctor\". Calm and collective as usual and then takes it home. Sete was on his tail for a while but couldn\'t match him. I\'m sure he\'s pleased to get on the podium in front of home crowds though.
Not very many crashes except for Nicky on the second lap, but he got back up and rode till the end. He actaully got 16th, passing the Kawasaki\'s and Nobu. Shinya and Tohru crashed together, hhhmmmmm????
What\'s that? A racing incident? I don\'t know what exactly happened cause\' they never replayed it but there was a crash involving 2 riders. Ok, I\'ll get over it. Colin rode a good race too. He and Troy were battling like ol\' times sake but Troy ended up leaving him behind.
Makoto did really well. He came from behind and just kinda blew past everyone in his way. Alex did well too, I think that\'s his best finish all year. John was battling with Olivier the majority of the time, but Olivier ran off the track in turn one towards the end and then Nori ran off as well. I\'m assuming that cause\' he ended placing behind John. Chris Burns didn\'t ride for WCM but David did, and although they\'re struggling, he rode till the very end and that\'s good sportsmanship.
After the race, most of the riders were doing burnouts everywhere. John\'s side of the team said for all the times John has pestered them during the year that they were going to get him back. So as soon as John came in, he did his debriefing and they tackled him. The all tied him up with ducktape and threatened to shave his hair. Instead, they just put him outside and everyone was laughing at him. Got some pictures of it and I\'ll put them up later on Hopper`s site.. It was funny.
Well now we must pack to go home for the testing season. Tommorrow we go home back to Cali where it\'s burnt. It will be good to get home though after these tough weeks. So I\'m signing off from Valencia and will catch up later from Ramona.
Bye,
Desiree
