World Class Field Arrives in New Zealand:
The top thirteen track racers in the World, arrived in New Zealand today enroute to Pukekura Raceway in New Plymouth, for the Yarrows New Zealand Long Track Grand Prix on November 1st.
The Grand Prix is the Sixth and Final round of the FIM World Long Track Championship and New Zealand will see the 2003 World Champion crowned in New Plymouth, next Saturday night.
The reigning World Champion Robert Barth (Germany) leads the points table by 18 points from 2000 Champion Kelvin Tatum (Great Britain), with 2001 Champion Gerd Riss (Germany) a further 17 points behind.
The long track championship is one of the longest running in the calendar of the FIM, which controls all two-wheeled world championships and it will also be the first time, it has been competed for outside of Europe, UK and Scandinavia.
