Hi everyone,
Well we are here in Portgual now. We arrived here on Tuesday along with John\'s manager Doug.
Now we\'re here at the track hanging out, getting everything sorted. It\'s windy as usual but nothing to bitch about, it\'s the way it is.
As for our time home, it was good. John did some more MX and it was hot!!! We came here, it\'s about low 80\'s with a breeze and I was thinking it\'s a bit chilly. Got used to the dry heat!!! That\'s about it really. I had to get John\'s visa for Brazil, they charge $100 USD to enter that country! Not only that, but it takes 2-5 business days to process and the consulate only acccepts USPS. I was biting my nails. Luckily I sent it to a visa service, explained I only had 4 days to get this done cause we were leaving again, and the guy was kind enough to expedite it at the consulate. So it only took 2 days! I was relieved, it cost more than $100USD, but he needed that visa in time. Because Brazilians have to pay for a US visa, we have to do the same. Next, Japanese visa, luckily the consulate knows us now. \"Ah....John Hopkins go back to Japan again?\" Yes he does. They\'re cool.
Anyway, so nothing much to be said other then we are here along with everyone else, paddocks set up, bike\'s getting put together, etc......

[9/3/2003] Updated Post: Just When We Thought We\'d Seen Everything... @ RoadRacingWorld.com:
There are letters emailed to the editor regarding Suzuki. The very last one cracks me up. I enjoyed when he said this, \"The GSVR is one of the trickest motorcycles designs on the planet. It is typically 1-2 seconds off the pole pace. ONE to TWO seconds! And that makes it a sled? Gimme a break.\"
Uh ok, and you know how the bike performs mate! Been on the MotoGP bike lately? Yes Suzuki does provide a good Superbike in AMA, British, and WSBK. But that\'s not what the GP team wants. It is a good manufacturing company but lack in some parts.
I walk a fine line and that\'s the beauty of it. Don\'t like it, don\'t read it.
Alright well gotta jet until the competing starts,
Desiree
