World 6 Day Motorcycle Enduro:
Arthur Klap Takes the Chair
Motorcycling New Zealand announces that well-known sportsman and event icon, Arthur Klap will chair the Board established to manage the International Six-Day Enduro to be held in New Zealand in 2006.
Motorcycling CEO, Trevor Gill, is delighted that Klap has agreed to be involved.\"It’s a straight out case of headhunting. Once we got allocated the event we looked around for leadership, Arthur has been giving me advice informally for sometime. This is a huge undertaking and we need the guidance of someone who has been at the cutting edge of international events. Outside of motorcycling Arthur is one of the few people who understands just how big this event is.”
“We will mange all aspects of the 6 Day ourselves, what we are looking for from Arthur is experienced event leadership,”
Arthur ran the NZ Masters Games for 6 years and he organised the World Triathlon Championship in 1994 and will run them again in Queenstown later this year. He has a host of other international events that he has been involved with.
