Kevin Archer takes out Round Two of the N I Cross Country Champs:

Te Awamutu’s Kevin Archer came home first overall, on his Suzuki DRZ400, at the second round of the North Island leg of the Suzuki Cross Country Championship at CHH Pine Forest at Waimiha, north of Taumarunui.
The track was 34km for Seniors and 8km for Juniors.

As there has been very little rain this year (30mm), the ground was very powdery and rutted out on some of the short sharp up-hills, but with plenty of lines to ride it didn\'t cause any problems.
\"We were very fortunate, with the extremely dry conditions, to still be allowed access to CHH\'s Forest,\" said organizer Gary Powell.
