Just a quick email to remind you about the upcoming Post Classic Meeting at Pukekohe Park Raceway, February 22 - 23.

This is going to be a great meeting, our first 2 day event, with HEAPS of track time for everyone.

There is a superb display of 25 period and more up to date Race bikes including Croz\'s GS1000R, the BSL 500, a 2001 Swiss Auto 500GP bike, a Kawasaki H1R, Several McIntosh Suzukis, several TZ 750s and other Post Classic rarities!

The Big Bore pre 82 grid is already chocca with all the brands represented, including some new faces, perhaps even the Phillip Island Classic meeting winner (4 wins plus a new lap record) Stu Loley from Australia on his GSX 1100 Suzuki (to be confirmed). How will he handle local legend Vince Sharpe?? How will up and coming, rapid local boy Steve \"Dosser\" McCaffery go against Vince and Stu?? Has Sean Donnelly from Paraparaumu put his FAT Z1 Kawasaki on a diet yet? Will his crank stay in one piece for this meeting? Will he pull wheelies out of the hairpin every lap?? (Only if there is a photographer there). And if the rest of them think that I (Smithy) am going to let them run away, think again! Phillip Island gave me a good dose of enthusiasm so I am ready to rock and the GS is hauling! It\'s gonna be HOT and CLOSE.

The sub 600cc pre 82 is also a hotbed of development with LOTS of TZs being worked on. Pete Jones comes back fresh from his all conquering victory at Phillip Island on his TZ 350 (with fettled pistons by Wayne \"Wobbly\" Wright who took an angle grinder to them in the pits at Phillip Island, I kid you not) Mark Cocks has all the fruit on his TZ and Jason Howecroft with his \"will it seize won\'t it seize?\" RD 350 LC rocket. Also with continued development on Rick Jaimeson\'s Yam 550 (Ohlins and Keihin sparkly bits everywhere, with hardly any alloy left in his ports), and the Econohonda 400-4 with Brett Grice on board, fresh from his Phillip Island success..(I also hear rumours that Brett will be punting a Honda CB 900 around at this meeting. He is no slouch so that should give the Suzuki boys a hurry up). Even Alistair \"too big for a TZ 350\" Wilton knocked about 10 seconds off his Phillip Island lap times, so is well on the pace. Yee Haarr fairing banging for all. Glad I\'m only watching this class.

We really want to fill up the entry list to make this a great occasion so in the spirit of things we are waiving the late entry fee, and will take entries right up to the race day. Please do get your entries in as soon as possible so we can get the programs written up. Last year there were around 110 bikes, and this year we are expecting more, so get those entries in now!! An entry form is attached

Late entries go to the back of the grid automatically. You have been warned.

We have contacted Pukekohe raceway, and there is an open combined car/bike practice all day Friday. Cost is $80.00 per bike, pay on the day.

C\'mon up. It\'s going to be bigger than Ben Hur, Bigger than Godzilla, Bigger than a Z1300 (Maybe not).

Just joking about the grid positions.

See you there.
Cheers,
Smithy
