COPPINS CASE - 6/8/2002. MX GP were correct. Having taken our stance on the Josh Coppins drug issue we are happy to say WE STOOD BY A FRIEND.
While many were not sure of Josh's innocence (and happy to tell the World they thought Coppins was a cheat) we knew the New Zealander was not ever going to cheat to win.
Josh Coppins has ridden through the past month with a huge cloud on his slender shoulders.
There was obviously no evidence to show that Josh Coppins is a cheat, just that Coppins had made a stupid mistake.
To the Coppins family and friends (of which there are many) congratulations on standing by one of the finest competitors in the World of Motocross.
To the people who doubted Josh Coppins, think before you doubt next time around.
