Blue Wing Honda Red Rider Cody Cooper was in devastating form at the first round of the MotoCross Winter Series at Taupo on April 29th. Riding the CR125, and despite having two high-speed spills, Cooper rejoined mid-field and blasted his way back to the front to take the chequered flag in all three races.

Race team manager Dave Borlase said: ‘Cody showed awesome form after a 2 week layoff, which bodes well for his upcoming ride in the four stroke Nationals on May 5th on board an XR285.’

Taupo rider Darren Capill, riding the HRC XR400 in preparation for the four stroke Nationals as a temporary replacement rider for Stacey Oldeman, also impressed with three wins from three starts in the four stroke class, showing clearly that the XR400 is still a highly competitive and reliable machine that wins races.
