MNZ - Press release:

ROAD NATIONALS FINAL

No Bones About It For Harris.

Shaun Harris and anatomical damage are no strangers to each other. Harris, who has collarbone and rib fractures, will be a spectator at the Motorcycle Trader And News Group One Series this weekend after sealing the title last weekend.
At the same meeting, Andrew Stroud secured the Superbike Crown.

Even though the trophy engraver has done his job and been paid there is still lots to be sorted out as the great days of summer come to an end at Manfeild on Sunday.

Andrew Stroud has a one-word job description – \"win\". From thirteen races in the Suzuki NZ Production Superbike Championship Stroud has won eleven. His latest title is his third in succession. Wanganui\'s Brian Bernard and Auckland’s Ray Clee are the only riders to have beaten Stroud this season.

There are two points races at Manfeild for Bernard to attempt to reduce the 28-point gap between him and Clee – Stroud will contest both races and is unlikely to show any charity.

Shaun Harris has completed three things on his 2004 \"to do list\". He has won the Blue Wing Honda 600 Sport Production Series as well as the TT and the GP.
Harris banked enough points last week despite the discomfort. Next on his list will be the Isle of Man.

Dethroned 2003 Champion, Craig Shiriffs, has the dual advantage of a 20-point gap and home track familiarity as he tries to keep the hard charging Dennis Charlett at bay. Charlett, who is also playing at home, had an inconspicuous start to the season but won twice last weekend at Taupo.
Young Hayden Fitzgerald (New Plymouth) will be one-step from the podium in his first year if he can hang on to fourth. The popular teenager has clawed his way up the league, after the first round back in December he was eleventh.

The two-day car/bike meeting starts on Saturday with both points races on Sunday.
