Vintage MotoCross in NZ is alive and well - even though it is somewhat low-profile. Have just spotted a press release that was more than just a little interesting:
Our Taupo round (21st March, 2004) has now become an International Event, with 1982 World 500cc Motocross Champion Brad Lackey riding. Brad Lackey is travelling to Australia for the Classic Dirt 3 Vintage Motocross Event courtesy of Suzuki Australia & VMX Magazine before heading to New Zealand to compete in the 4th Round of the Mr Vintage Motocross Series.
Brad Lackey\'s New Zealand visit has been made possible by the hard work and generosity of Rapson Holdings (Russell Burling), Craig Coleman Motors & Coleman Suzuki (Auckland) in association with Kiwi Vintage Motocross & Livewire VMX.
